How It Works:
The event opens at 8:30 am for registration, and the shooting starts at 9:00 am and runs until 3:00 pm. You may show up anytime, but we suggest you shoot before 1:30 pm. The location is in an open field, providing space for eating, kids/family events, and the ranges with spectator viewing areas. Please follow signs for parking.
There are 5 shooter stations: clays, .22 range, Battleship, Dunk-a-Duck, and archery. One person at a time shoots clays, .22, archery, and pellet, on their respective ranges.
Please bring your own ear and eye protection.
Please keep your children supervised at all times.
Clay Shoot
Participants have the opportunity to shoot 25 clays with their shotgun or a furnished shotgun and are scored according to how many they hit. Shooters may purchase multiple shooting opportunities (2nd, 3rd, 4th shoots), each with 25 clays.
Shooters who hit 20 or more clays are entered into a drawing to win the 20+ Clays competition. They may enter for each shoot purchased.
.22 Shoot – Standard Target
Shooters will shoot at a standard target using a furnished .22 rifle with five shots.
There will be two age categories: 13+ and 12 & Under.
A prize will be awarded to the winner of each category.
Top Shot
Combined scores of the clays and .22 shoot will determine the winner of each category. Top Shot sweatshirts will be awarded.
Double Shoot
Multiple tickets may be purchased for $10 each. Shooters will be entered in a drawing to win the Double Shoot prize if both clays are hit. Multiple entries are permitted.
Archery
Archers may bring their own equipment or rent a beginner bow for $5. Prizes are awarded in each category.
Carnival & Backyard Games
A variety of games will be offered with Carnival-style ticketing. Games include Dunk-a-Duck, Battleship, Pellet/Air Rifles, tossing games, face painting, and cornhole. Various prizes are included.
Sponsorship
Each participant may choose to collect pledges and donations from family and friends before the shoot. The collection of pledges is encouraged but not required. Shooters who turn in donation pledges of $100 or more will be entered in a drawing for the Sponsorship Prize. Every $100 donated and pledged gets you one chance in the drawing. For example: $1,000 in donations and pledges equals 10 entries. Pledges are an amount per clay pigeon hit. For example, your friend will donate $2/pigeon that you hit and hit 18. Your friend will owe $36.00 (2 x 18 = $36). Set amounts are also permitted. Pledges and donations may be submitted within 14 days of the event. At that time, final amounts will be tallied and the winner announced.
Chili Cook-Off
Back this year is the Chili Cook-Off! Sample the chili with your lunch and vote for your favorite. The winner will receive a prize. You do not need to purchase lunch to participate in sampling and voting for the best chili.
Kids' Events:
Kids also have the opportunity to participate in a sponsorship competition. Kids who raise sponsorships and donations will be entered to win a prize. Attendance is not required to win. Backyard and carnival games are one to kids old enough to walk. Please be aware there will be loud noises from the firearms, and children may be sensitive to this.
