United Christian Academy’s Lower School Division provides an exceptional Christ-centered academic program designed to meet the spiritual and academic needs of elementary students. The curriculum is designed to support the school's mission to nurture children in becoming strong in faith, character, and academics. The learning environment is enriched with art, music, physical education, and technology. Each year students are provided with many opportunities throughout the school year to participate in a variety of service projects, sports, and after school clubs.
Opening: We do mornings differently.
We like to do things a little different at UCA when it comes to our Lower School students' mornings. "Opening," as we call it, gathers the entire Lower School together for a time of singing and pledges together each morning. We also sing happy birthday to students, and share announcements for the day. Parents are always welcome during this time. We love celebrating the start of every day!
Field Trips
The UCA Lower School often ventures out for field trips! From the Old Stone House Museum, to the Shelburn Museum, to the ECHO Center in Burlington, we love giving our students opportunities to learn about historical Vermont Life, New England natural science, and beyond!
